Nature is an amazing provider when it comes to materials for the garden whether it's woodchips for your paths, bracken for mulches or hedgerow sloes to flavour your gin, there's always something that can be put to good use. Man-made stuff when it's salvaged can look good too - old water tanks, sherry barrels and rusty old chains have all found their way into my various gardens.
Toby takes commissions to design and build gardens and garden features, such as green roofs, vegetable and herb gardens, Devon banks, moongates, reclaimed walls, fedges or natural garden features to your specification. Please get in touch for advice and a quote: Contact Me

Growing your own food is fun. Being able to harvest something from your own garden and serve it up on a plate greatly enhances your life, health and teatimes. For me growing as much of my family's food is the most important way to cut down on energy-consumption. Besides everyone knows home-grown tastes better, looks better and you know where it's come from.
Find out more about growing fruit and veg in Toby's weekly Grow, Cook & Eat column for Amateur Gardening magazine. and monthly in Kitchen Garden magazine.
