What I grew up calling - and still call - Stipa arundiancea. Lovely bronze curls of foliage which tint more coppery and red as it gets cold in winter. We grow them individually in large terracotta containers where they make large arching fountains and friends are always asking what they are.

Details

Evergreen bronzey grass which looks good all-year round, whether with daffodils and tulips in spring, geraniums in summer or the hot colours of the late border at summer's end. Plant in drifts through a shady border or in a container.
