This a section of the site that we are still growing. A small selection, but beautifully-formed and more to come in the spring!
All the plants listed here are in grown in containers and sold in a range of pots sizes, from healthy clumps in small economical 9cm pots to even more substantial 2 and 3-litre containers. The advantage of containers is they are available all-year-round and can be planted at any time, provided the soil isn't frozen or waterlogged. We use a peat-free potting medium for everything we grow. Seeds and plugs are started off in a peat-reduced compost and potted on into peat-free. Most of our suppliers are peat-free too, though some do use peat-reduced compost for some plants. We consider ourselves about 98% peat-free and are working on developing our own peat-free recipes to improve consistency and water-retention.
